About Canine State of Mind

A relationship-and-energetics practice, not a conventional obedience school

Canine State of Mind is built around Sasha Armstrong, who the site describes as "Canine Behaviorist, Dog Shaman, Radical Healer," with a stated purpose of "guiding humans to understand and live harmoniously with themselves and their dogs." Prospective clients should read the framing carefully, because it is deliberately different from a manners-and-cues offering: the pitch is "the peaceful relationship you crave that honors the bond between you and your dog."

What it argues

The site sets itself against both harsh methods and quick fixes. On control: "You can attempt to control and manipulate your dog into 'good' behavior, but you'll never experience a harmonious relationship built on mutual respect and trust." On equipment: "There's a reason the gadgets and gimmicks don't feel quite right." And on the owner's own expectations — that dogs are "evolutionarily hard-wired" toward the success and survival of the pack, "yet we expect our dogs to fit into our world and understand our language. To fit into our labels of 'good' and 'bad'" and to tend to human emotional needs. The question it puts to owners is direct: "When's the last time you considered the emotional needs of your dog?"

Programs

The published offerings are the Embodied Alpha Masterclass, available live or self-paced, the Elite Behavior Reinvention Program (elite coaching with Sasha), and a Peaceful Dog Boarding Retreat in the Chicago area — boarding framed as part of the same practice rather than as kenneling. A free clarity call is the entry point, and the site also publishes a book, Peaceful Dog Mastery, sold on Amazon and as an eBook, plus a blog and an energetics cues freebie. The site's own slogan sums up the premise: "Alphas are not just born. They can be made."
