About Collars Off LLC

Who they are

Collars Off LLC is a one-trainer dog training business run by Autumn Glasscock, working across

West Virginia. Her own site says she has "spent the last 5+ years working with and helping dogs

feel more confident, connected, and understood", and that she earned a Dog Obedience

Trainer/Instructor Diploma after her own rescue dog, Archie, came to her with severe separation

anxiety and a set of behavior problems she did not at the time know how to solve. Alongside

training she works as a kennel technician at a local humane society and fosters regularly.

How they train

The stated approach is "Science-Based, Balanced Training Methods" – her page explains this as

applying research on how dogs learn, giving "the perfect balance of Positive Reinforcement, while

still giving room to use all four quadrants of operant conditioning." The site is explicit that

there is no "One-Size-Fits-All": tools and techniques are chosen per dog, discussed in depth at

the in-home consultation, and clients are walked through the how, why, and safe use of anything

that gets used. Every engagement starts with an in-home consultation covering the dog's

background, health, prior training, daily routine and the owner's goals.

What is on offer

Private sessions run in the client's own home or virtually, built around the owner's goals –

the site names everything from basic obedience through modifying behaviors such as separation

anxiety. A follow-on program, Beyond the Backyard, moves dogs that have built a solid foundation

at home into public practice in pet-friendly stores, local trails and parks.

A third strand, Rewards for Rescues, works inside shelters and rescues rather than with private

clients: reducing stress in kenneled dogs before adoption, and training staff, fosters and

volunteers in handling, canine body language, enrichment routines and behavior assessment.
