About The Dog Wizard – Dog & Puppy Obedience Training St. Charles

A local branch of a national training network

The Dog Wizard St. Charles is one location of a national brand. Its own page describes "a national network of local trainers near you" and says the company has been "since 2005 helping families nationwide." The location page lists Batavia, Geneva, Lakewood and West Chicago among the areas currently served, and directs new clients to enter a zip code to be matched with a local trainer.

How it works

The published sequence is a free evaluation to assess the dog's needs and build a personalized plan, a customized training plan delivered by certified trainers, hands-on training through in-home or mobile programs, and ongoing support with "tools, guidance, and follow-ups to maintain progress and reinforce skills at home." Lifetime support after graduation is named as a feature of the programs.

Programs and behavior services

Training formats listed are obedience programs, day training, private lessons and puppy training programs, with board and train and group classes named in the how-it-works copy. Behavior services published separately are problem solving – barking, chewing, jumping, begging, counter surfing, digging, leash pulling, play biting, marking, door bolting and housebreaking – plus resource guarding, dog aggression, separation anxiety, adopted and rescue dog training, and socialization.

What to confirm

Because this is a network location, owners should confirm at the free evaluation which programs and which trainer apply to their address; the location page does not publish prices or a class timetable.
