About Over the Moon Positive Dog Training, LLC

Class-led positive reinforcement in Batavia

Over the Moon Positive Dog Training, LLC is based in Batavia, Illinois. Its stated belief is "that the BEST way to teach your dog is to develop a positive relationship built on clear communication, mutual respect, and fun." The business runs a rolling class schedule rather than a single flagship program, and publishes start dates and times for each block.

Classes on the schedule

Published offerings include a Polite Walking three-session mini-class teaching "practical, positive reinforcement techniques to reduce pulling, improve your dog's focus, and build good leash manners"; a Rally three-week mini-class built around "verbal communication, eye contact, and teamwork" on a loose leash; Level 2 Continuing Obedience; Canine Good Citizen; and "Sit, Stay, Learn," a drop-off day training option. The two mini-classes carry a stated prerequisite: a completed six-week class or instructor approval.

Socialization and private work

Two supervised socialization sessions are listed: Puppy Socialization Hour for pups between 9 and 20 weeks on the day of the class, and a Confident & Calm Canine Social for adolescent dogs from 6 months to 1 year. Both are described as guided socialization with obstacles, confidence-building activities, puzzles and games, and off-leash puppy play, "supervised by professional trainers." Private 1:1 training is offered for specific problem behaviors, with weekend sessions available.
