About Edgewood North Kennels

What it is

Edgewood North Kennels LLC is in Custer, Wisconsin. It states its mission as helping "dogs and their owners live harmoniously together. Whether it's through basic obedience for home life, teaching manners for adventures, or preparing your dog to be the best hunting partner, we've got you covered." The same section adds, "We treat your dogs as if they were our own, with their safety as our top priority."

Pet training

The services block lists "1:1 Lessons", "Train The Trainer", "Balanced Training", "Obedience Basics", "Leash Manners" and a "Learning Foundation". Board and Train is offered as its own track, described with "Clean kennels", "Climate controlled" and "Customized Plans", and split between a family pet and a hunting dog path.

Bird dog training

The bird dog work is published in two tiers. BASIC covers "Bird and Gun Introduction", "E-Collar Conditioning", "Obedience Foundation", "Water Introduction", "Tracking", NAVHDA NA tests and "Wild Bird Hunts". ADVANCED covers "Field Search", "Stop to Flush", "Steady to Wing, Shot, Fall", "Trained Retrieve (force fetch)", "Steady in Blind", further NAVHDA testing and wild bird hunts.

Breeding is on hold

The kennel breeds Wirehaired Pointing Griffons – "Health Tested", "Sound Temperaments", "Intense Point", "High Prey Drive" – but the page is explicit that this is paused: "We are taking a planned break from breeding and are not currently acceptting applications or maintaining a waitlist. In the meantime, Edgewood North will continue to focus on training, education, and the development of The Bird Dog Blueprint."

Contact

Training and puppy inquiries go through the site's own inquiry links, and an email address is published. Ask about prices and who will train your dog.
