My experience with Michele left me feeling incredibly perplexed and disappointed. As someone who had used their services previously for basic dog training and was planning to enroll in obedience school, I expected a more professional interaction when I reached out to board my German Shepherd. Initially contacting Michele by phone and leaving a message, I received a text response instead of a call back, where she confirmed availability and requested basic information about my dog. I provided honest details, including my dog's aggression towards strangers and other dogs, and her use of anxiety medication in stressful situations.

However, despite my openness about my dog's needs, I was taken aback by Michele's swift decision. Based solely on a single text message, she declined to board my dog due to her aggression and anxiety issues, concluding with an abrupt "SORRY" in all caps. This response was surprising coming from a breeder/trainer specializing in German Shepherds, especially considering these traits are common among the breed. The website touted Michele as an excellent obedience trainer who administers medication at no extra cost, yet she cited this as a reason for refusing to board my dog.

What is even more frustrating is that Sam is a good dog who I trust around my children, my neighbors and their children, my coworkers and my family. Her aggression towards strangers comes out in the form of barking, which is a very normal trait for almost all dogs. He anxiety comes out in the form on pacing. Which I give her medicine for when I know I'm going to be away from her. However I never got the chance to discuss these habits with Michele due to her abrupt decision. Even when I attempted to continue the conversation, she chose not to respond at all.

What disappointed me most was the unprofessional nature of our interaction. Michele never took the time to speak with me directly, instead making a harsh judgment based on minimal information. Her apology seemed passive-aggressive, and she offered no suggestions or alternatives for my boarding needs. As a business owner I know communication is very important, and I expected better from such a well established organization.

If Michele felt unequipped to handle my dog, which I find surprising given her specialization, there are certainly more professional ways to communicate that. I am left confused and still searching for a kennel, questioning what I did to warrant such treatment. If she cannot accommodate my dog's boarding needs, it raises concerns about her ability to meet her training needs as well and I will find another organization for help.

I took my son’s wild 2 year old Boston bull Terrier. It has helped a lot. Michelle really knows what she’s doing. He has calmed done some and he’s learning the basics.
I hope to do the next set of 6 classes.
Also going to bored Ace, if we ever go out of town.👍

We bought our male German Shepherd from Von Lindesfarne in February 2016 & started training with them in April 2016. I can't say enough good things. From the very first phone call you can tell Michele is passionate about this breed and truly cares for every puppy. She's an amazing & constant source of information, suggestions and support. We drive 2 hours every week to train with her and couldn't be happier with the classes. All future puppies will be bought from Von Lindesfarne. If you're looking for the best, this is it.

We have trained with Michele before and when we had an out of state trip to take kenneling our puppy with Von Lindesfarne was a no brainer. Not only did we pick up a happy puppy, Michele taught him "place" during his stay.
