About Tails of Success: Dog Daycare and Training

Tails of Success is a combined daycare and training business on East Ridge Road in Rochester, and the training half is defined by one commitment stated on the home page: force-free methods that look at the why behind a behavior rather than only the behavior itself.

The stated outlook

The site spends its home page on a philosophy rather than a service list. It describes dogs as unique individuals with rich emotional lives, gentle and caring souls who live in the moment and delight in simple pleasures, and says everything the business does is about gentle, caring respect. That reads as a positioning statement against correction-based training in a metro where several schools advertise balanced methods.

The classes

Training runs as a leveled course. Published client comments describe taking a puppy through a first class and then signing up for level two, and one names an Australian Shepherd and border collie mix who graduated from her first class and had playtime with the other dogs during it, which indicates classes that mix training and supervised socialization.

The rest of the business

Doggy daycare, boarding and grooming sit alongside training, and the daycare is described as a fun and loving environment rather than a holding pen. The business says it welcomes dogs and owners throughout the greater Rochester area.

How it describes its clients

The site says its clients choose it because their dogs are more than pets, and that they depend on compassionate, dedicated care that celebrates each dog's uniqueness. The team describes itself as people who have joined together toward a common goal of making life better for dogs.
