Michael is a wonderful trainer with so much knowledge! We started taking our puppy to him a year ago and he helped train our Australian shepherd puppy into a wonderful dog. We worked on neutrality and it was something I didn’t know would be so helpful for everyday life! We can take her to eat with us, go on off leash hikes, walks etc! She’s an all around wonderful dog and I owe so much of that to Michaels work with myself and her. Highly recommend bringing your pup to him for any concerns or in our case, making sure we didn’t create any bad habits!

Long post: About 3 years ago me and my now husband got a Cane Corso . Not knowing what we had got ourself into we spoiled her and gave Athena everything she could want . About a little over a year our dog took over our home she ended up having a false pregnancy , severe aggressive behavior and very territorial ,we couldn't even get near her . My husband was at risk everyday with her wanting to attack him. It had got so bad we had to sleep in our living room for about a week. The only "professional " option we were given was euthanasia. That was not a option for us . We lived in hell for about a year for something our ignorance did, then we came across Michael he had worked endlessly with our girl she was with him for a long two months . I can only imagine the time and effort it took. When we came to pick her up she was a different dog in the best way possible he truly changed the dynamic of our home and saved us beyond belief. I cannot stress this enough if you struggle like we did do not hesitate or sit on having Michael being your trainer . We can happily say it has almost been a year and I have not seen any aggressive behavior with my Athena. We work with her everyday just like he showed us. And we can actually introduce her to people with no worry as before she was ready to show her teeth to anyone . I live in California and I WILL be flying my next dog to him. If you want positive results he is your guy.

Let's start with an apology from the dogs…lol and a huge shout out from the human.

I have worked with Michael for over a year now as I have been fortunate enough to have worked with him also in California. I travel a lot for personal and work and often try to work and continue to develop my dogs on the road. Recently I had a weeklong stay in Ohio with my dog and my friends personal protection dog as well. Now Izzy my pup has been training a very long time and is use to bite work development and training weekly. However, what made this trip special and why I must brag about Michael is that we worked her for 4 days straight on new things and Micheal was able to help her grow and keep her safe in doing so. Let me say Izzy killed it and if you know anything about taking bites from a working dog it is trying on the body. So, while we kept going and going like the energizer bunny; Michael never wavered in his ability to keep up, stay safe, keep the dog safe and still help coach.

Additional what was very impressive to me was that my friend's dog who I was also handling had not done bite work in over 1.5 years which was a huge issue. This at times can make it a little riskier and more difficult to work with. Well guess what no problems here. Michael was able to quickly reestablish proper grip, encouraging pressure and snap her right back into a development standpoint. This was great to watch happen and really solidified why whenever possible I will continue to work with on my Ohio adventures with Michael.

And although I haven't in a very long time worked OB with Michael he def made sure I didn't slack on it either while I was there working my dogs 🙂

My dog Ghost and I got to work with Michael after unexpectedly having our former trainer leave. We had been training for a while, but had a lot of work to do when it came to reactivity due to him being surrendered, being crate reactive, and to top it off, being attacked by another dog within the first few months of adopting him. When we were introduced, Michael stepped in seamlessly. He took time to observe the work we had already done, and safely pushed us into newer situations that would let our training be functional, removing the fear of "what ifs" when it came to my dog and I being able to stay focused and work together while out. Any questions I had were met with understanding – no matter how insignificant I may have felt they were when asking. Placing my trust in a new trainer after so long with our initial one was difficult, and Michael made every step (communication, updating, scheduling, random questions) of it easy, and I will always appreciate that.
