About Sweet Southern Dog Training

Sweet Southern Dog Training works out of Dallas, Georgia. Its services page lists four bookable programs: Board & Train, Puppy Training, Private Lessons and Boarding.

Approach

The homepage describes "relationship-based training methods" and says the business works with all breeds and mixes, puppies and adult dogs. The about page states that "Every dog is different and requires a tailored approach to their training; whether it's basic obedience or behavioral rehabilitation, we can help", and sets the goal as clear communication between dog and handler rather than rote compliance: "We are not here to create a robot dog". The same page lists "Teaching impulse control to help dogs with over excited, aggressive, or anxious behaviors" and setting structure in the dog's routine among the focus areas, and says owners are taught alongside their dogs.

Programs

The homepage describes the training on offer as "basic through advanced obedience training, on and off-leash training, puppy training, behavior modification, board & train programs, private lessons". Private sessions are offered for single problems such as counter surfing or pulling on walks, and for owners starting out with a new puppy or a newly adopted older dog. Boarding dogs get individual attention, multiple turnouts and group play time.
