About Canine Country Academy – Dog Training and Behavior Modification
Group classes
Canine Country Academy runs a broad class program from its Lawrenceville campus. The class menu lists Foundation Skills, Puppy and Manners; a scent and nosework strand it calls Sniffy Skills, taking in Barn Hunt, Happy Ratters, Mantrailing, NASDA and Scent Work; and a dog sports strand with Agility, Rally Obedience and a Sports Sampler. Classes typically run four to six weeks, one hour a week, with four to six dogs in each.
One-to-one and drop-off
Private coaching is sold in 60 to 90 minute sessions, held at the Lawrenceville campus, in the owner's home, or out and about – the site suggests it for specific skills, behavior issues and preparing for a new puppy. For owners short of time there is drop-off training: Board & Train for Puppies, Day Training and field trips.
Approach
The training page is headed Training for Humans and says the services are designed to train owner and dog at the same time, with daily practice expected between sessions.
Team
The site names Paula Nowak as owner, head trainer and behavior consultant, and attaches the letters CTDI to one of its instructors. We record that as the business's own claim and verify nothing.
