About CT Dog Services,Inc – Louisiana

The Cookie Trainer

CT Dog Services, Inc. is Cristi Theriot's reward-based dog training and boarding business in north Louisiana, with obedience and behavior lessons Monday through Saturday and boarding seven days a week. Known as "The Cookie Trainer," she describes rewards that follow a marker, which follows a lure, and believes training should always be positive, fun and exciting. The business credits her with 25 years of experience.

Background

Cristi began training dogs for AKC shows in 1999 and has competed in agility, obedience, rally, hunting, conformation, lure coursing and barn hunt, earning many titles with her blue Weimaraners. She is a Pro Dog Trainer through Absolute Dogs of the UK, studies through Fenzi Academy, and is a member of the APDT and the Ouachita Valley Dog Training Club.

Lessons and boarding

A private one-hour lesson is $50, usually weekly, covering manners, leash walking, recall, crate training, house training, socialization and problem behaviors such as chewing, barking, digging and jumping. Boarding & Train offers one-on-one work while owners travel, with limited spots.
