About Raise Your Paws

What they offer

Raise Your Paws is a daycare, boarding, grooming and training facility at 312 Commercial St in Emporia. Its services page offers day training, where your dog gets additional individual training while at daycare or boarding, and clinic training so your pet gets used to common procedures that may be done at a vet clinic. Daycare staff also work on name recognition, come, wait, sit and not jumping during play days.

Who trains

The about page says the business was started by Melanie Smith, who began training dogs professionally in 2002, became a certified dog trainer in 2016 and became Fear Free Certified in 2017. It says she does obedience training as well as some behavior modification for aggression and anxiety.

Before you book

All services require current rabies, distemper/parvo and Bordetella vaccines, and reservations are made through the business's online booking account. Ask which training options are running when you call.
