Bird dog training in Foley

Pine Creek Kennels is in rural Foley on 40 acres of training grounds maintained with bird dog training as the focus. Trainer Dale Meier trains all breeds for upland bird hunting and prepares dogs for AKC Hunt Tests from Junior to Master, using his calm manner and listening to what each client wants. Kennels have indoor runs, in-floor heat, individual dog beds and an outdoor dog yard.

Programs

Introduction to Bird and Gun is for young puppies, combining exposure to birds, cover and gunfire with basic yard work and commands like heel and come, with lots of undivided attention. Intermediate and Advanced training covers whoa, heel, come, steady to wing and shot, stop to flush, retrieving and conditioning, and hunt test training from Junior through Master. Training is done in a way that builds a dog's desire to hunt for you and with you.

Owner support

Dale works with each client at pickup, can teach owners to handle their own dog, and encourages calls with questions afterward.
