Overview
About Barbara’s Babies Dog Obedience School
The school
Barbara's Babies Dog Obedience School has trained dogs at 19175 Redding Rd in Richland since 2009, according to its home page, and offers training programs and boarding. The site speaks to owners dealing with jumping, barking, pulling on the leash and house-training accidents, and invites them to book a no-cost meet and greet by call, text or its contact form.
Approach and team
The About page says the school considers the whole dog, going beyond obedience to the reasons behind behavior problems and teaching handling skills to the whole family. Owner and head training director Barbara Pruitt writes that she has been involved with dogs for over 30 years and attended the Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers; the page lists her as an AKC CGC Evaluator and an endorsed member of NADOI. Trainer and kennel manager Maryellen Townsend is also a CGC evaluator, and Jason Pruitt, with over 20 years around dogs, supports the trainers.
