About Nomad K9 Institute

What they offer

Nomad K9 Institute in Puyallup trains pet dogs, working dogs and their handlers by appointment. Programs include puppy fundamentals, obedience, behavior modification for problems such as excessive barking, jumping, leash pulling, reactivity and aggression, and AKC Canine Good Citizen preparation. Owners can choose private lessons, where they learn techniques to use at home, or a board and train program that works toward off-leash confidence and long-term control. For working dogs and professionals it offers protection, detection and tracking training and consultations.

How they train

The site describes balanced training with positive reinforcement and fair, humane corrections, using leashes, toys, food, slip leads, prong collars or e-collars depending on the program and the dog.

About the trainer
