About Happy Dog Institute

What they offer

Happy Dog Institute has helped people and their dogs solve problems, improve communication and have fun with positive reinforcement since 2009. It runs a training center in Tumwater with a team of instructors, led by co-owner and director of training Heather Ringwood.

Group classes

Group classes run from foundations to advanced training: puppy training and socialization, adolescent and adult classes, advanced classes for continuing students, behavior classes, and sports including agility, K9 Nose Work, rally and truffle hunting, plus workshops and events. Class packages bundle several classes, and a placement quiz helps owners pick the right first class.

Private training

Private training packages give one-on-one support for dogs or people who need individual goal setting. The school specializes in separation anxiety, puppy socialization, fear and aggression toward strangers, and agility.
