About ABQ Bark University
What they offer
ABQ Bark University offers science-based dog training in Albuquerque and surrounding areas. The trainer, Amanda, is a certified professional dog trainer and a Canine Good Citizen evaluator whose experience ranges from training service dogs for veterans to shelter and rescue dogs, and she is open to all breeds and ages.
Services
New dog integration helps a newly adopted dog settle into the family. Behavior problem solving works on issues such as reactivity and fear, with sessions held where the behavior happens. Beginner foundations teaches sit, down, stay and more, and puppy foundations adds potty training and basic manners. A five-week group class covers leash technique and basic skills around other dogs and distractions.
Approach
Training uses only positive techniques and teaches owners to communicate with their dogs, not just the dog to obey.
