About PATH Dog Training & Psychology

What they offer

PATH Dog Training offers one-on-one private training and behavior sessions, group classes and pack walks in Santa Fe. Puppies and dogs without serious reactivity, anxiety or aggression go into training sessions, while dogs with behavior problems go into behavior sessions. The site recommends learning skills at home first and practicing them out in the world.

Group work

Group classes teach dogs to work around other people, dogs, sounds and new places, and a pack walk class meets on a trail so that even mildly reactive dogs have room. The trainer specializes in behavior cases and in service dogs, mainly for psychiatric disabilities.

About the trainer

Ash Miner holds a Master of Science in Animal Behavior and Wellness and is a Certified Trick Dog Instructor and an AKC evaluator for STAR Puppy, Tricks and Canine Good Citizen. The site says Ash has trained professionally since 2008.

How they train

Positive reinforcement only, with no prong, shock or choke collars and no physical or psychological intimidation. The site also offers animal communication sessions.
