Ear To Tail is a Houston behavior consulting business owned and run by Beth Brown, who started in behavior consulting and training at a local shelter. She is a Certified Dog Behavior Consultant and Certified Cat Behavior Consultant through the IAABC, a CPDT-KSA through the CCPDT, a Certified Separation Anxiety Trainer, a Certified Control Unleashed Instructor and a Fear Free Certified Professional. She also runs playgroups at BARC in Houston.

Approach

Ear To Tail follows evidence-based positive reinforcement and customizes every behavior plan, working at a pace the owner can manage. The main goal is better relationships, whether between owner and pet or between a dog and a cat.

Packages and prices

Every package starts with a 60-90 minute initial assessment, on Zoom or in home, at $250-$295. Monthly packages run from Bronze Paw ($250/mo, virtual) and Silver Whisker ($400/mo) to Gold Toe Beans ($800/mo, four 60-minute appointments) and Diamond Snoot ($1600 over 1 or 2 months). The four-week Happy Alone separation anxiety package ($800) uses systematic desensitization. Packages include a customized plan and workbook, office hours and a vet report on request, with virtual or in-home appointments.
