About You Lucky Dog Pet Resort

Family-owned boarding and daycare with training

You Lucky Dog Pet Resort is a family-owned boarding and doggie daycare facility at 11403 Chimney Rock Rd. in Houston, caring for dogs weighing 60 pounds or less. The facility has over 15,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor play space, is staffed 24/7 and has Pet CPR/First Aid certified staff onsite.

Training

Training starts by teaching owners basic dog psychology and how to communicate with their dogs. The trainer then works with the dog on a specific behavior problem while the owner observes, and finally brings the owner into the process so they can keep influencing the dog's behavior. The methods are described as very humane. Topics include rescue and adoption dogs, obedience (come, sit, stay) and behavior issues such as fear, anxiety, introducing a new pet and destruction. Staff will also help reinforce a dog's training during its stay. The motto: "We train dogs one person at a time!"

Boarding and daycare

Boarding is $60 per night, all inclusive, with daycare included. Daycare is $35 per day or $25 per half day, and a no-cost Get Acquainted visit is required.

What to ask

Ask about training session pricing and scheduling, and whether sessions happen at the facility or at your home.
