The Study of Dog is a dog training and consulting service near Magnolia, Texas that also serves The Woodlands and Conroe. Trainer Lilliana Ly, CPDT-KA, started in pet care in 2015 as a dog bather and specializes in service dog training, having trained her own service dog, Robin.

Method

She follows LIMA (least invasive, minimally aversive), always starting with positive reinforcement. She treats behavior as communication, stays flexible on methods, writes out training plans and shares detailed notes after every session.

Services and prices

In-person training is $50/hr, virtual training $30/hr, service dog training $75/hr and consultations $30/hr. Board and train, with the dog staying in her home, is $500/week and includes free weekly virtual follow-ups afterward. A $45/month training club adds two virtual sessions a month, unlimited texting, free AKC trick dog and CGC evaluations and member events. Seminars, webinars and group classes run as events, and flexible pricing is available for low income households.
