About Sea Dog Animal Training, LLC

Positive reinforcement with a marine background

Sea Dog Animal Training, LLC is a Houston positive reinforcement training, behavioral consulting and boarding business for dogs, cats and exotic pets, serving Greater Houston and its suburbs. The name comes from trainer Heather's background: her positive reinforcement experience is rooted in working with California sea lions, often called sea dogs, and the business is built on the idea of voluntary participation used with marine mammals.

Who it helps

Sea Dog works with rambunctious pets, pets with "selective hearing" and well-behaved pets whose owners want advanced training as enrichment. Clients can bring a dog, a cat, a bearded dragon, a mini pig or a parrot. Its stated mission is to reduce the number of pets surrendered to shelters through positive reinforcement training. Boarding is offered alongside training, and gift training sessions and payment plans are available.
