About Ward’s Dog Training

Family-owned training in Midlothian

Ward's Dog Training is a family-owned training business at 4825 Whitehead Rd in Midlothian, launched by owner Justin Ward in February 2016. Justin is an Eagle Scout and a graduate of the Starmark Dog Training Academy, and leads a team of 8-12 trainers and staff. The team helps families turn unruly dogs into well-behaved companions through relationship building, understanding and patience.

Programs

Private lessons at Ward's facility target specific behaviors and reinforce commands at the owner's pace. Board and train keeps the dog for several weeks of structured lessons and behavior modification. Group classes in Ellis County and nearby areas build obedience, manners and socialization around other dogs. Boarding and daycare are available to current training clients. Common issues include barking, leash pulling, reactivity, jumping, chewing, resource guarding and counter surfing. Every program starts with a free on-site evaluation, and owners get follow-up lessons and progress videos.

What owners say

One owner wrote that her two German Shepherds "did the two week board and train and came back amazing."
