About Happy K9

Dog wash, grooming and classes in Fort Worth

Happy K9 calls itself Fort Worth's original bark and bath: a full-service dog wash with self-wash and staff-wash tubs, professional grooming and dog training classes. It has two Fort Worth locations, at 9501 Clifford Street and at 6501 Camp Bowie Boulevard, open 8am to 6pm Monday through Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sunday.

Training classes

All training is geared toward preparing dogs for the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. Classes come in three levels: beginner for basics such as sit, stay and down, intermediate for building more skills and teamwork, and advanced for putting it all together in the real world. Each level meets weekly for six weeks in 50-minute sessions, with classes capped at 10-12 dogs. Trainers set goals with each owner and use positive, proven techniques, and a short evaluation at the first class checks that a dog suits the group. Proof of vaccinations is required before booking is confirmed, and cancellations made 72 hours before class may be refunded.

What to ask

Ask which location hosts the classes, when the next six-week session starts and what each level costs.
