About Powsitive K9 Training
What they offer
Powsitive K9 Training is a positive reinforcement training business owned by Cecilia Higareda, working with a small team of trainers. Its own pages describe training service dogs, therapy companions and well-mannered house pets, for puppies and adult dogs.
Approach
The trainers use positive reinforcement and happy voices, with plenty of treats, and focus on building a bond between dog and owner based on trust and understanding. The site also teaches owners to read body language: ears, tail, posture and facial expression.
Getting started
A trainer is available Monday through Saturday. Ask which service or plan fits your dog's goals.
What they can help with
Early socialization, house-training and first manners for young dogs.
Sit, stay, recall and reliable commands, from beginner to advanced.
Service dog training
Task training and public-access work for service-dog candidates.
Therapy dog training
Prep to visit hospitals, schools and care homes as a certified therapy dog.
