About Protrain K9 Academy

About

Protrain K9 Academy has provided professional dog training for individuals, families and businesses since 1993. Its owner is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer who graduated from a national K-9 school in 1993 and specializes in all phases of obedience, training the 24-hour dog for life rather than for showing. The approach balances correction and praise, and the whole family, children included, is encouraged to take part.

Classes

The basic group class teaches heel, sit, down, stay and come on leash with verbal commands and hand signals, and works on jumping, pulling on the leash, taking things off counters and barking. The five-week advanced group class adds new commands and leash handling and prepares dogs to start off-leash training, with about 6 to 8 dogs per class. A bootcamp agility course builds confidence and teamwork, and you can bring three friends for a mini group class.
