About Bramhall Kennels Bird Dog Trainer

What they offer

Bramhall Kennels in Bakersfield trains gun dogs and bird dogs for upland hunting. Each program is tailored to the individual dog, focusing on confidence, obedience, bird drive and a reliable hunting partner.

Training stages

Puppy training at four to six months introduces hand signals and the whistle, the e-collar, birds and the gun, hunting in the field with the nose rather than sight, and retrieving. Intermediate and advanced training works on whoa, steadiness to wing and shot, and retrieve to hand.

Getting started

A free evaluation assesses a dog's natural hunting instincts, bird drive and potential, and the trainer then sets realistic goals with the owner.
