About Matan Dog Training

What they offer

Matan Dog Training runs its programs from a facility on Hampshire Road in Westlake Village. Trainer Matan Shaibi grew up in a farming community in Israel and focuses on puppy training, obedience training, behavior modification and aggressive dogs.

Training packages

Every package combines private sessions with group sessions at the facility. The introductory package covers basic on-leash obedience and socialization for balanced dogs. First Pick adds behavioral modification for light to moderate issues. Advanced training adds off-leash obedience for dogs with common behavior issues and some aggression, and Advanced+ is built for complex behavior issues, serious aggression, territorial behavior and resource guarding, with optional e-collar training.

Board and train

Board and train programs run two, three or four weeks with daily pack walks and structured socialization. The three-week program takes cases with minor separation anxiety and minor reactivity, and the four-week program covers off-leash training or behavior modification.

Group sessions and day camp

Group socialization sessions with an emphasis on training can be added to any package or used for maintenance. The business also offers day camp and grooming.
