About Linden Hollow Sheep Farm

Herding training in St Cloud

Linden Hollow Sheep Farm is a working sheep farm in St Cloud, established in 1998, offering herding lessons, instinct testing, trials and clinics. It is owned and operated by Sherry Lee, DVM, a retired veterinarian who now focuses full time on stock dog training and trialing.

Lessons and testing

Private herding lessons are available by appointment, tailored to each dog's abilities, with a strong focus on Border Collies. Owners curious whether their dog has the instinct to do what it was bred to do can book an instinct test. Experienced handlers can rent stock time, and the farm hosts sanctioned herding trials under USBCHA, AKC and AHBA venues, along with clinics led by Sherry or guest instructors.

The team and farm

Sherry brings over 20 years of herding experience and says she trained the first dual champion Shetland Sheepdog in the United States; she also judges trials. Her granddaughter Natalie Cole teaches private lessons, including instinct testing, with a calm, encouraging style. The farm has multiple field sizes, a round pen, a large open field, sheep for beginner to advanced dogs, and geese and ducks for extra practice.
