About The Dog Man – Pro Dog Training

Relationship-based training in Lakeland

The Dog Man – Pro Dog Training works from 4210 Palmetto Ave. S.E. in Lakeland and trains all breeds and ages, large or small, including dogs with aggression issues. The trainer has specialized in German Shepherd Dogs since 1992 and trained on his "Shepherd Ranch" in Orlando before moving the business to Polk County over thirteen years ago.

How he trains

The Dog Man trains without shock collars, clickers or treats. Instead he teaches owners how their dog processes information, so they can build trust, understanding and respect and become the leader of the home. He looks for the core issue behind a problem instead of chasing symptoms, and he says many situations can be handled in a single session. Each program is designed around the owner's particular needs.

Programs

A puppy program focuses on control and mutual respect for a well-mannered, content puppy. The adult program covers obedience training and behavior modification for a peaceful life with an older dog. The business also breeds Goldendoodle and Doberdoodle puppies.
