About Specter K-9

Training and boarding in Catskill

Specter K-9 is a dog training business whose site says evaluations take place at its location in Catskill, NY. Its stated mission is to help owners better understand their dogs, build healthy relationships and always treat dogs with respect.

Services

The services page lists four offers. In-kennel training is aimed at owners with busy schedules or dogs that struggle at home. Private lessons give one-on-one attention to dog and owner. In-kennel boarding is available for a few days or weeks, at $60 per day including pick-up or drop-off, with limited space that depends on the training workload. The fourth is aggression rehabilitation, and the site says behavior modification is its specialty.

Getting started

An evaluation in Catskill is required before any service starts. Dogs must arrive leashed with a properly fitted collar or harness, and owners are asked to bring as much history as possible.

What to ask

Ask how long an in-kennel training stay usually lasts, what the evaluation costs, how the aggression work is structured, and whether pick-up and drop-off cover your town.
