About Club K9 of Wickliffe

A daycare-and-boarding hub that also trains

Club K9 of Wickliffe is primarily a facility-based daycare, day-boarding and pet-care operation that also offers a solid training menu. The site (with a copyright running from 2010) describes a clean, safe indoor and outdoor play environment, and lists services including dog daycare and day boarding, pet sitting, and a self-serve or assisted dog wash. On the training side, it offers private lessons, puppy pre-school, therapy classes, behavioral problem-solving, and a Canine Good Citizen program.

Good for the all-in-one crowd

The appeal here is convenience: owners can board or daycare their dog and handle training, grooming-style washes, and pet sitting through the same facility, which is attractive for busy households that want one trusted place. The site doesn't name a specific training methodology, list individual trainer certifications, or identify the owner, so owners with a particular method preference — or who want to know who's running the classes — should ask before enrolling. The breadth of services and the indoor/outdoor play setup suggest a facility geared toward dogs that are comfortable in group, social environments rather than one focused mainly on intensive behavior rehabilitation.

What they can help with

Early socialization, house-training and first manners for young dogs.
AKC / CGC Testing
AKC title testing: CGC, Trick Dog and Star Puppy evaluations.

We adopted an American Bully mix puppy from Cayuhoga County Animal Shelter. She was nine months old, much bigger and stronger than any dog we have ever owned. She is a good dog, but we needed behavior help!
I was looking for a humane dog trainer who was willing to work with a large, strong breed. After much searching and phone calls, I found Virginia through reference. We are so pleased Virginia was willing to take on our Winnie, and us! The owner needs training too!
We were so happy with her training that we quickly signed Winnie up for a few daycare sessions. Winnie has plenty of dogs her size to play in a controlled environment. She is a very active dog who also needs quiet time breaks throughout the day.
We just completed her fourth training session with success. Life at home is more manageable, and Winnie is much more calm having regular daycare visits.
Thank you Virgina, and Club K9 of Wickliffe staff!

We boarded our dog (Luka) for 15 days at Club K9 and were so pleased with the care they provided for our furbaby!! He doesn’t take to strangers easily but warmed up to Nicky and Liz quickly. The area he was in was a very large room, with couches and access to a private outside fenced-in space. He had plenty of room to roam around and do zoomies! We will definitely be using them to board him in the future! Thank you for taking such great care of our stinker!! 5 Stars!!

My dogs had a great time while they were at Club K9. They spent a week there while we went on vacation. They were well taken care of. One dog needed meds during their stay. The staff found ways to give the meds when the dog decided she didn't want to take it. Thank you Club K9 for your care and critical thinking when it mattered.

My German Shepherd, Meatball, loves this place. I boarded him here for a week and he had an absolute blast. He came back home totally worn out from all the play time he had with the other dogs. I could tell the next day after we got him back that he was a little sad to not be with his new friends. There is a ton of room for them to run about and have fun. It’s a pretty large facility. I chose this place because the price was good, the reviews were great (I see why!), the dogs are allowed to play all day vs being locked in a kennel, and their overnight spaces are also large so I appreciated that my 90 lb pup was not locked up in a small space overnight.
The owner, Virginia, is so wonderful. She was so kind and communicative and worked with me to make pickup and drop off work. You can tell she loves dogs and what she does. Great place to board your dog, highly recommend!

THE biggest, cleanest & most supervised day care & boarding I've ever seen & used. Best price you'll find in Cleveland area. And they put on the BEST parties throughout the year. Where else can you dance to a live band with your dog?! My dogs & I miss it since moving out of OH. Miss you Virginia!!
