About Heights Canine
What they offer
Heights Canine in South Euclid, Ohio, is a full-service dog care business covering training, boarding, daycare, and grooming. Its training specialty is home-based board-and-train programs: dogs stay in the trainers' home and receive immersive daily training in a familiar, residential setting rather than a kennel environment. The site frames this as doing the "heavy lifting" on a dog's basics and beyond, and welcomes owners looking for obedience help or socialization.
Care and environment
Alongside training, Heights Canine runs Monday-through-Friday structured daycare with a diverse pack to socialize dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds, with all daycare staff trained in canine first aid and CPR. Overnight boarding is available seven nights a week, 365 nights a year, in climate-controlled, 24/7-surveilled facilities. Grooming services, from nail trims and baths to brush-outs and blow-dry, can be added to a stay or booked separately. This is a strong fit for North East Ohio owners who want board-and-train obedience combined with the convenience of daycare, boarding, and grooming in one place.
Sit, stay, recall and reliable commands, from beginner to advanced.

If you have a large dog such as a mastiff please do not waste your time. They do not have the staff to work with large breeds. It's sad but I rather find out upfront rather than my dog be locked in a closet because of his size. I went today for a trial and my dog a mastiff (200lbs) was in the lobby to get checked in. A tiny pug size dog (5-6lbs) who already attends the daycare scratched my dog on the head but my dog isn't fit for the daycare and won't hurt a fly. Size discrimination at its best, size doesn't equate temper. I would say they definitely need to advertise for small dogs only and not act like they are trained to handle beautiful big dog breeds. That was a waste of my time and energy and my dog was mentally exhausted after all of that. Of course he is going to be all over the place he was excited and nervous and was there all of 5 mins. So sad. I do not recommend it. But the staff seems friendly, but they are definitely only for dogs 50 pounds and under and should advertise as such. My dog is a 200 pound lapdog and they need love and attention too.

My dog absolutely loves going here! The staff are always so kind and welcoming, and I can tell they really care about the dogs. Every time I pick my pup up, she is happy, tired, and clearly had a great time playing with her friends all day.

Our dog Barkley is in the BEST hands at Heights Canine. He did a weeklong training program with the staff that was so helpful for him and us. He often plays at daycare, has a blast, and comes home tired! We also trust Heights Canine when we need Barkley to stay overnight. The staff is friendly, educated, and easy to work with. Can’t recommend Heights Canine enough!

My dog that is only 20lbs was mangled by a very large dog while I was out of town. They didn’t care for him as if he were there dog. They didn’t take him to the vet to be checked out. He had bite marks all around his neck and I was told that it was just a scratch. There were multiple scabs. Each picture is from a different bite. But I was told they examined him fully, when I made them aware of the other marks their response was “We didn’t see that.” But he was examining fully right??? Very disappointed in the service we received!! I’m sure if one of their dogs were attacked they would have taken it to the vet to be seen and get a Tetanus shot. THEY WILL NEVER GET ANOTHER REFERRAL FROM US!!!
