About Animal Consulting & Empowerment By Marius. Dog Training.

Clicker training for both ends of the leash

Animal Consulting & Empowerment, which the site shortens to ACE by Marius, leads with the line "Empowering both ends of the leash through positive cooperative teaching." The home page names Marius Geykman, KPA-CTP, CTDI, CPDT-KA, and says he uses positive reinforcement to teach owners and pets desired behaviors, focusing on "teaching what behaviors to do rather than focusing on stopping problematic behaviors." The same page notes the business is a re-branding of Snappy! Pet Services, so older Snappy! logos still appear in pictures and videos; the about page dates the start of that re-branding to October 2014.

Services

The site's menu lists puppy consults, behavior modification, and vet and groomer training visits, alongside client training videos and a recommended reading section. The services and rates page describes private positive-reinforcement sessions and explains clicker training as a method based on behavioral psychology that marks desirable behavior with a click and rewards it. Live and scheduled online video call sessions are also offered, covering training plans, leash handling and pulling, greetings, and trick training classes for children and adults.

Rates and service area

The services and rates page publishes $100 per hour, or $1.67 per minute, for online video call training, with discounts for shelter and rescue organizations and a $5 discount on a shelter or rescue dog's first lesson; it lists Venmo and Zelle as accepted payments. For in-home private sessions the same page shows a local service area map and names Lake Forest, Highwood, Bannockburn, Deerfield, Highland Park, parts of Northbrook and Glencoe as local towns, with a separate travel rate outside that outline.

Background

The about page says Marius left a corporate career to become an animal trainer and founded Snappy! Pet Services on non-aversive training techniques, and that he has trained behaviors in species including chickens, wolves, foxes, bison, cats and dogs. It credits him as February 2013 Certified Training Partner of the Month, and lists nose work titles earned by his own corgis.
