About Huckleberry’s Pet Parlor

A Sycamore pet center where training is one service among several

Huckleberry's Pet Parlor describes itself as "Sycamore and DeKalb's premier pet center featuring full service pet grooming, doggie daycare, dog boarding, dog training and a self-service pet wash," with a boutique attached. The home page says the business has held that role "since 1999" and is "Celebrating OVER 25+ years of caring for your beloved pets"; the site footer describes "Serving DeKalb County for over 20 years."

How training fits in

Dog training is listed among the services on both the home page and the about page. Owners specifically after training should call and ask which classes are running, in what format and who teaches them. The grooming, daycare and boarding sides each have their own agreement, policy and registration pages.

The rest of the operation

Grooming is offered for dogs and cats, each with its own grooming agreement. Boarding has a boarding policy, a vaccination policy and an online registration form. Daycare has an application and, notably, live cameras owners can watch. The team page lists staff by first name and role – an owner, a daycare manager, receptionists, groomers and bathers – which gives a sense of scale. Hours listed are Monday to Friday 7am to 5:30pm with walk-in hours 9:30am to 2:30pm, and Saturday 9am to noon.
