About Jaybird Dog Training

A DeKalb board-and-train with gun-dog roots

Jaybird Dog Training is a DeKalb outfit whose about page says it was founded in 2022 by Shea and Jessica Quinn, and that it "grew out of a deep love for training hunting and gun dogs," work the site says it proudly continues to offer today. The same page says that over time the work expanded to include obedience, sport training, and behavior modification, so the roster now spans hunting dogs and family pets alike.

Who runs the training

The site credits Shea with leading the training, describing a blend of "12+ years of experience" with a hands-on approach that teaches owners how to keep the momentum going after their dog comes home. Jessica is described as supporting every step – assisting with training, caring for the dogs, and keeping the behind-the-scenes side running. The about page frames it as a family operation, with the owners' three children part of the household the dogs join.

What you can book

The navigation lists obedience, board and train, private lessons, and working dogs as the bookable programs, each with its own packages page. The site's own summary of the choice is "whether through board and train programs or one-on-one lessons," so both the send-away and the coach-the-owner routes are on offer. A qualifications page and a contact page round out the site.

One caution for readers comparing sites: the services page on this domain is still filled with unedited template placeholder text about veterinary care, so it should not be read as a list of what Jaybird offers. The about page and the program pages in the navigation are the reliable description.
