About Paw Paw’s Pets

Paw Paw's Pets is a pet care facility on Broad Avenue in Memphis whose published menu runs obedience training, daycare, boarding and a grooming salon.

The training side

Training is the first item in their own navigation, with separate pages for obedience training introductions, training videos, obedience training graduates and AKC graduates – so the program runs towards AKC titles rather than stopping at house manners.

How you get in

Everything is by appointment. New clients must complete an application and a scheduled temperament observation of about twenty minutes, and vaccination records for DHLPP, Bordetella and rabies are required – the business states it does not accept titer tests, and puppies must be at least sixteen weeks old for any service. Weekday hours are 6:00am to 6:00pm with all check-in and check-out by noon; Saturday and Sunday are 9:00 to 9:30am by appointment.

Worth knowing before you call

The business publishes its policies in unusual detail: services are non-refundable and final on completion of signed agreements, boarding takes a 50% non-refundable payment at scheduling with a three-night minimum over holidays, there is a $25 per pet charge outside operating hours, and a 3.5% card surcharge. It also states plainly that it is "NOT a rescue nor shelter" and does not accept surrenders. Contact is 901-286-5488 or becky@pawpawspets.com.
