About Dog Training Elite Chattanooga

Dog Training Elite Chattanooga is the local arm of a national franchise, and its own Chattanooga page describes the business as family-owned and says it offers in-home training alongside its other formats.

What they publish working on

Six programs are listed for Chattanooga: obedience training, puppy training, service dog training, anxiety and aggression work, therapy dog training, and group classes. The behavior list underneath it is long and specific – leash walking and heel, barking, aggression and reactivity, separation anxiety, jumping and hyperactivity, sit and stay, destructive chewing and digging, recall, boundary training around furniture, and vehicle behavior. Service dog work is described as training dogs "to perform tasks like retrieving items, providing stability, or alerting to medical conditions", and therapy dog training as preparing dogs to provide comfort and emotional support in various settings.

How the work is structured

Every engagement starts with a free assessment, and the site says programs are "flexible and designed to meet the needs of each client's schedule and their dog's unique behavior, home environment, and situation". Ask about prices at the free assessment.

Who runs it

One local trainer is named on the Chattanooga page – Bethany Giles, born and raised in Chattanooga, whose biography describes a background training horses since 2012 using vocal cues, hand signals and puzzles, and says she is pursuing a veterinary assistant certificate.

What is worth knowing

Published discounts include 10% for military and law enforcement, 10% for teachers and school staff, and 15% for employees of the Erlanger, Memorial, Parkridge and Tennova healthcare systems. The "40+ years of experience" the page cites belongs to the national brand rather than this location.
