Before starting the training, Viper, our 8-month-old Australian Shepherd, was extremely anxious and impulsive. He had trouble walking on leash, was reactive, and struggled to follow certain commands.
After completing the program, the transformation has been incredible. Viper is now much more balanced and responsive. He comes on the first call, walks properly on leash, and has significantly improved impulse management. We now have a solid foundation for off-leash work and distance commands that we’re continuing to reinforce. He’s noticeably calmer and more focused.
Bruce is always willing to answer questions, even after the program ends, which is a huge plus. He explains things clearly and thoroughly, which makes all the difference.
We couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend Colossal K9!
Bruce explained every step clearly, gave us simple strategies to use at home, and truly understood how to motivate a young dog. Our puppy is more focused, better behaved, and so much more confident in public settings thanks to Bruce’s expertise. Not only did the dog learn, but we learned how to be better dog owners too.
We highly recommend Bruce to anyone looking for a patient, knowledgeable trainer who can make a big impact on a young pup’s behavior. We’re so grateful for the progress our puppy has made! We are able to take our young dog in public settings with confidence and manage a puppy and our two year old daughter with ease. Thanks Bruce!
Don’t waste your time with any other training options. We tried several, and only Bruce delivered on what we needed!
My wife and I adopted Bo, a full size dachshund, in 2023 from a hoarding situation. Bo was a shy and fearful dog that had some behavior issues. He was quick to bark and lunge trying to nip and bite people, including myself and my wife. Having had him for 2 years and with a baby on the way, we had to try something different.
Bruce first did an in home consult and had Bo doing things we never thought we’d see him do. We were quickly sold and moved forward with an 8 session program. Bruce explains everything that he’s doing with Bo and why. After our training, Bo will sit, lay down, stay, come, and heel while on leash and off. He ignores other dogs and people when we have him in the right position. We had a great final session in Home Depot where you would’ve never known that Bo had fear based aggression a few weeks ago.
It’s not all on the dog. Bruce will train you to be better for your dog and help you build trust with your dog.
