About K9 Coaching Academy

K9 Coaching Academy runs a class-based training school at 8151 North Point Blvd in Winston-Salem. Its own summary of what it offers is "Dog training, group & private training, puppy classes, agility, loose leash, Therapy Dog, competition obedience, rally, K9 Fitness & so much more!"

The class program

The site is organized around a term calendar rather than a fixed package. Separate sections cover puppy information and classes, a Have Fun with Your Dog set of classes described as being for the dog's brain and for burning extra energy, K9 Fitness and Injury Prevention classes and webinars, and therapy dog training with an in-house team, the K9 Waggers. A K9CA Performance Team page covers competition work.

How enrollment works

New clients have to create an account in the school's system before they can register for any class, and the site publishes a step-by-step tutorial for doing it. Memberships and dog evaluations are listed as separate offerings. There is an inclement weather policy tied to Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school closures.

At the same address

Fluff 'n Buff Grooming operates from the same location, booked separately through its own site.

Credential note

The APDT North Carolina trainer search lists K9 Coaching Academy under the school's own published phone number, with coaches named as holding AKC CGC. APDT is a membership association rather than a certifying body, so this is recorded as a confirmed membership, not a certification.
