About K9 Paws and Delight

K9 Paws and Delight works from West 49th Street in Hell's Kitchen and combines training with boarding, daycare and walking.

Training

The published specialty is corrective work with rescue dogs — aggressive behavior, defiant behavior, extreme separation anxiety, and dogs that struggle with recall and responsiveness. Individualized attention for dogs with separation anxiety is named separately in the care description, which suggests the training and the boarding side inform each other.

Prices

The business publishes a rate card, which most trainers in this market do not: dog training starts at $50 per session; walks run $15 to $20 for five to thirty minutes and $25 to $30 for thirty-five to sixty minutes; first-time pet boarding starts at $30.

Method

Positive affirmation with healthy treats is the stated approach, framed as building trust and confidence so that the dog maintains the behavior rather than performing it under pressure.

The rest of the business

Walks are tailored to the individual dog, and boarding and daycare are aimed at pets needing extensive care while owners are away. A single phone number handles training, boarding and general enquiries.
