About ExclusiveK9

ExclusiveK9 is Mario Bardouille's practice, based at 32 Hubbard Pl in Midwood and serving New York City and the tri-state area. He describes himself as a professional dog trainer and behavioral consultant with over twenty years of experience, working with dogs from puppies to adults on everything from basic obedience to aggression.

Two distinct sides

The pet side covers puppy training from five months up – the published focus is preventing problems and building a positive attitude to training, with potty training, chewing, whining and leash training named – plus fully personalized private lessons, group training and behavior modification, with boarding and walking alongside.

The sport side

This is what separates the practice. Mario coaches IPO/Schutzhund in all three phases – obedience, protection and tracking – and states he has been in the sport for over fifteen years, working trials for East Coast, Mid Island, Alpha K-9, Tristate and Free Dog. As a national-level training helper and decoy he says he has assisted handler-trainers and their dogs in protection ahead of their making world teams, and has accompanied clients as far as Pisek in the Czech Republic. He offers training both to people entering the sport and to handlers wanting to take an existing dog further, with a focus on protection, and will help a client find the right dog to compete with.

Executive protection

Separately from sport, the site offers to help families and businesses source the right protection dog, whether a puppy or an already-trained adult.

Background

The site records search and rescue among the settings he has worked in, and says he lives in Brooklyn with his wife and two daughters, taking part in Schutzhund when he is not working with clients.
