About Throw Me A Bone Inc. / Dog Daycare, Grooming and Boarding

Throw Me A Bone operates on the cellar level of 33 Bond Street in Downtown Brooklyn, one of five locations across Brooklyn and Manhattan. The Bond Street site offers supervised dog daycare, overnight boarding, grooming and – the reason it belongs in a trainers directory – CPDT-KA certified dog training delivered through private sessions and group classes.

The training

The published range runs from basic obedience to advanced training, with certified trainers using positive reinforcement techniques. CPDT-KA is a specific, verifiable credential from the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers, and naming it at a multi-service facility is a meaningful distinction from the many daycares whose 'training' means reinforcing manners during play.

Why a facility can suit some dogs

The site describes a low dog-to-staff ratio and certified handlers. For an owner whose real problem is time rather than technique, having training available at the same address as daycare means the dog can be worked on during a day it would be spending there anyway – the same logic that makes day training popular in the borough, packaged differently.

What else is there

Daycare, boarding in an open style with crates available if preferred and someone on site overnight, grooming with experienced groomers and private appointments, plus dog walking and pet sitting at the company's partnered properties in Brooklyn and Manhattan. Memberships are offered.

Location note

The Bond Street location is a short walk from the Downtown Brooklyn transit hub, which is what the site means by describing its locations as accessible to residents and commuters alike; the company also runs a second Brooklyn address on Dean Street.
