About PumpkinPups Dog Training Inc.

PumpkinPups Dog Training works from 239 E 5th St in Kensington under the line 'Train, Play, and Totally Rock!' The stated purpose of its classes is to build a foundation of training, socialization and skills that lets urban dogs meet the challenges they face daily – which is a more specific promise than general obedience.

Four kinds of training

Puppy classes cover essential skills, socialization and confidence building for city life. Group classes are small and focus on manners, real-world skills and teamwork alongside other dogs and guardians. Specialty classes go into scentwork and tricks, described as challenging the dog's brain and building confidence. Private training pairs an owner with a certified trainer for a personalized plan, from basic skills through behavior challenges, and counseling and coaching is listed separately.

Free weekly support

'Ask the Trainer' is a free one-hour live Zoom every Saturday at 11am ET, open to anyone, where the training team answers questions in real time. The site positions it as something to use between private sessions or group classes for extra support – and Dharma Dog NYC's site refers to it as a joint session, so it functions as a genuinely open clinic rather than a sales call.

Membership and on-demand content

A membership program offers ongoing support, monthly meetups, trainer guidance and a discussion group, and there is on-demand content alongside the live classes. The class calendar also carries puppy socials and Canine Good Citizen test times.

The team

The site names Viviane and a team of certified trainers, and clients describe both virtual classes and consultations as flexible and customizable to an individual dog's needs. Between the free Q&A, the membership, on-demand content and the class ladder, this is one of the few Brooklyn practices structured as a school with an ongoing community rather than a series of bookings.
