About Bohemian K9 Dog Training

Bohemian K9 is based in Rochester and serves Upstate New York, and it makes an unusual promise on its own home page: it says it never teaches a skill it has not successfully trained and certified itself. The team is described as trainers who actively earn titles in multiple disciplines, and the argument the site makes is that they teach what they have lived, practiced and proven in the ring and in real life rather than theory.

The formats

Five formats are published. Group classes cover foundational skills, Canine Good Citizen preparation, Rally and tricks. Private lessons run both in-studio and in-home. Virtual training is offered for owners anywhere. Focused workshops target single skills, and the site names leash walking and the place command as examples. Board and train programs are offered for immersive, accelerated learning.

The stance on education

Continuing education is a stated commitment rather than a line item. The site says the trainers regularly attend workshops, seminars, conferences and webinars to stay current with science-based methods and tools, and it puts more than two decades of hands-on experience behind the team.

Who it is pitched at

The site is written for three moments in a dog's life: navigating puppyhood, building better manners, and moving into competitive dog sports. Its stated mission is to be a partner for the whole journey of dog ownership rather than a single problem, and it says it supports both ends of the leash with compassion, structure and proven techniques. The motto on the page is progress over perfection, for dogs and humans alike.
