About Revival K9 Training Academy & Care Facility, LLC

Revival K9 Training Academy & Care Facility publishes a coastal service area of its own: "Topsail Island, Surf City, Sneads Ferry, Hampstead, Holly Ridge, Jacksonville, Wilmington, Carolina Beach & Kure Beach", and states that travel and flexible options depend on location and program type.

What they publish

Four services are named on their own home page. Day training and board and trains "focus on providing behavioral solutions that address specific issues", from basic obedience to advanced behavior modification. Puppy training classes are described as socialization plus basic commands, "designed to socialize your puppy, teach basic commands, and lay the foundation for a well-mannered adult dog". Private obedience training is offered for individualized attention. Behavior modification is named specifically for "reactivity, anxiety, or high drive". The site adds that it is "Now offering a structured daycare service to the Sneads Ferry area".

The stated philosophy

The About page names the method: "Our philosophy is built around the LIMA (Least Intrusive, Minimally Aversive) approach, which emphasizes using the least intrusive, most effective training strategies appropriate for each individual dog." Their published emphases are building the dog-owner relationship, "teaching a clear communication system through markers and consistent clarity", using reinforcement to create lasting behaviors, educating owners on canine body language, stress signals and learning theory, and creating skills that transfer to real environments. They write that "training ends when a program is over" is not how they work, and offer "lifetime support through text, calls, videos and in-person training".

The team

The site names Briana Smith as owner and lead trainer, "a professional dog trainer since 2018", with published experience in behavior management, reactivity and real-world obedience including "aggressive, fearful and high-drive dogs", supported by a team of trainers and apprentices working under direct guidance.
