About Purrfect Pooches Dog Training

Purrfect Pooches Dog Training publishes a priced course catalog rather than a quote-on-request menu, which is unusual in this metro: Basic Dog Obedience at $120, Advanced Obedience Dog Training at $120, Service Dog Training at $600, agility from $45 and a virtual session from $25.

What they publish

Basic Obedience is "a structured 4 week program" covering sit, down, stay, recall, loose-leash walking, the place command, social behavior, impulse control and door and greeting manners, with AKC Canine Good Citizen testing "included at the completion of the course for eligible dogs". Advanced Obedience adds heel, touch, leave it, take it, wait and trade, works on focus around distractions, and includes AKC Community Canine testing; each week also covers dog health and care topics such as vaccinations, nutrition, safe toys, dental care and grooming.

Service dog training

Their service-dog page names its scope plainly: PTSD, anxiety, autism, depression, traumatic brain injury and mobility assistance, and states "We do not claim to train dogs for conditions or specialized tasks outside our scope of training." Training focuses on public access manners, reliable obedience, socialization in real-world settings, loose-leash walking and calm behavior in stores and restaurants, finishing with a Public Access Test. They write that there is "no rigid timeline or pressure-based graduation process" and that lifelong support is offered for service-dog issues.

Agility

Agility classes run on regulation-size equipment the site itemizes: pause table, full-size dog walk, teeter, A-frame, tire jump, two 18-foot tunnels, closed chute and weave poles. Their stated aim is "not on creating agility champions" but on safety, confidence, teamwork and focus.

How they describe the method

"We use proven, balanced training methods tailored to your dog's personality, temperament, and learning style," with owners "coached throughout the process to ensure consistency and long-term success at home".
