About Upstate Pet BnB- Your Pet’s B&B

Upstate Pet BnB on Troy-Schenectady Road in Watervliet describes itself as a place for your dog to learn, play and stay, and it puts training first in that list rather than last.

Training inside the stay

The site publishes individualized training for you and your dog alongside daycare and boarding, and is specific that the point is owner education as well: the experience is meant to give you the tools to become a better dog owner and build the relationship, not just to hand back a trained dog. Adventure trips and individualized programs are named as part of the offer.

The facility

Boarding is cage-free, with individual suites and multi-family suites for households with more than one dog. Daycare runs across several large play areas on mud-free turf with what the site calls no limited outdoor time. The business says it does not take a day off.

How they describe themselves

The tone is deliberately informal – the site opens with a welcome to your pet's B&B – but the operating claim underneath it is specific: they keep solid dog behavior principles in mind while facilitating each dog's day, and treat each dog as an extension of the family.

What to ask

Training is published as a service and as a philosophy, but not as a curriculum or a price list. Ask what format the individualized training takes before you book.
