Decoding Dogs Training
Overview
About Decoding Dogs Training
Decoding Dogs Training is a one-person school offering private 1:1 lesson plans in the Buffalo area, and it publishes the price of its first lesson and of every package.
Why it exists
The trainer started the business because of the support she wanted and could not find when she was struggling with her own dog, Myra, in 2012. She began offering private lessons to friends and family in 2017 and has been training professionally since, alongside continuing education. Clients call her Brittany in the testimonials on the site.
Three headline problems
The home page sorts the work into Puppy Training, Obedience Training and Behavior Modification. The everyday complaints it names are pulling on leash, barking at other dogs, jumping, failing to come when called, and simply not listening, and the stated goal is to give the owner the tools to communicate clearly rather than to hand back a trained dog.
What it costs
Every new client starts with a free fifteen-minute phone consultation after submitting an intake form. The first lesson is $125 to $175 for 60 to 90 minutes and is required before enrolling in a package; it covers a behavior assessment, goal setting, observation and interaction with the dog, the first exercises, and a recommendation on how many lessons will be needed. From there a four-lesson package is $484 and covers foundational obedience, leash pulling and basic manners with email support between sessions; a seven-lesson package is $784 and adds a full obedience program, off-leash work with distractions and problem-solving coaching; and an eleven-lesson package is $1,265 and covers behavior modification, including reactivity, anxiety and aggression foundations.
