About The K9 Pros

The K9 Pros is a two-trainer business serving "LaCrosse, WI – Rochester, MN," and its home page leads with the pairing of experience and behavior work: "Experienced & Accomplished Dog Trainers," "DECADES OF EXPERIENCE – in dog training and behavior problem solving." The site's own summary of what it sells is short and specific – in-home training and behavioral consults, board and train, and protection dogs.

What they offer

In-home training is described as coming to the client: "We come to you! Our trainers provide one-on-one behavioral consultations and/or training session packages that are customized, effective and convenient for you. Done where your dog's good behavior and obedience is needed the most!" Board and train is residential and time-boxed: "Your dog will live with us for 2-3 weeks and will be trained utilizing a custom program to fit you and your dog's needs and lifestyle." The third product is unusual for the region – "An executive protection dog is a highly trained canine that will provide security and protection to individuals, families, property, or businesses."

The trainers

The site credits Cathy Hubert-Markos as a "Professional dog trainer and training instructor for 25+ years, with over 7000 dogs and their owners/handlers trained," says she "has worked with up to 500 dogs a year and has experience training with over 100 breeds," and describes her as "an NDTA certified Master Trainer & a National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors certified dog training instructor." George Markos is credited with "25+ years" and "over 1000 dogs," is described as "4x IGP National Working Dog Champion" and "2x World Championship," and the site says he "specializes in behavior modification, problem solving, tracking, obedience, protection training." The banner figure for the pair is "25+ Years Experience – 8,000 Dogs Trained."

Service area

Coverage is spelled out rather than implied. In-home training and behavioral consultations "are available throughout the Greater La Crosse Wisconsin area," with "a limited number of behavioral consults available in Rochester." Board and train with home pick-up and delivery is offered "for all of La Crosse County, as well as Winona and Rochester in Minnesota," and clients outside those areas may still enroll if they transport the dog themselves. The protection dog service is offered "anywhere in North America."
